RisControl versus BeebControl
I'm finding I have an increasing number of programs, articles and other features that really belong under a RISC OS heading, rather than a purely BeebControl one. Hence the introduction of this extra logo and its use in future on pages that also feature RISC OS relevant material.
The picture on the left is a good example of the Beeb/RISC OS mixture of equipment and programming that's currently occuring. BeebControl exhibited a number of arms and other devices in the Acorn World section of the Retro Reuited Show at Huddersfield in Sept 2009. The photo illustrates the variety of BBC, Risc PC and Iyonix drivers required to get everything moving. |
| My original intention was to create a separate, sister site called RisControl, but soon realised there'd be so much duplication and overlap that it wouldn't make sense. So in future, whenever a subject's pages contain RISC OS as well as 8-bit information or software, you'll find an additional RisControl logo at the top of the page to signal the availability of 32-bit material too. |
